msoradar.com is an independent, bilingual (English and Traditional Chinese) educational resource about Hong Kong's Money Service Operator (MSO) licence. It brings the official rules together in plain language and pairs them with a directory of licensed operators that refreshes automatically every day.

Where the directory data comes from
The directory and the headline figures are built from the Customs and Excise Department's "List of Licensed Money Service Operators", published through DATA.GOV.HK and updated daily. We fetch the official CSV each day and present it in a searchable form.
- Dataset: List of Licensed Money Service Operators — DATA.GOV.HK
- The data is reused under the DATA.GOV.HK Terms and Conditions of Use.
For any official or legal purpose, rely on the source data from the Customs and Excise Department, not on this site.
Methodology & notes
- Daily refresh: an automated task fetches the latest official list each morning (Hong Kong time) and updates the directory and statistics.
- Districts are approximate: the source data has no district field, so we derive each location's district from the English address text using keyword matching. Treat districts as a helpful guide, not an authoritative classification.
- Location types: the source distinguishes "Specified Premises" (where a money service is provided) from "Correspondence Address" (an address for correspondence only). We surface this so you can tell them apart.
- Names: we show the licensee's English name and, where the source provides it, the Chinese name.
